The truth ‘revealed’ in Coronation Street as Megan is caught with Will

Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) felt the need to apologise to Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) in Coronation Street tonight, after trying to kiss Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Shortly after Will arrived in Weatherfield, we discovered that he believes he’s in a relationship with Megan, his sports coach. Will is underage, and doesn’t know at the moment that Megan is grooming him.
In order to prevent any suspicions from rising, Megan has started seeing Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard). This has also made Will a jealous young man, as he’s had to watch Megan flirt with Daniel in front of everyone.
After trying to kiss Rovers Return employee Lauren, Will was made to apologise to her in the latest instalment. She brushed it off, noting it wasn’t a big deal.
A while later though, Lauren grew suspicious as she witnessed Will with Megan. A few hours prior, he had received a text from her instructing to meet at the precinct, and Will smiled at the thought of it.
Megan spoke to Will and even brushed her hand across his face. Lauren, who was groomed by solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill), immediately sensed that something wasn’t right when she saw them together.
In the pub back room, Lauren tried to talk to Will about Megan, but he claimed that there was nothing wrong with him meeting up with his sports coach. Lauren called Megan pretty, but Will said that he hadn’t really noticed her looks.
Lauren told Will to be careful and walked away. That evening, she saw Megan with Daniel in the pub, and her concerns continued to grow.

She later spied Megan and Daniel outside his flat together. Lauren went through an awful lot in her ordeal with Joel, which means she is able to spot the signs of something similar occurring between two other people.
Will she continue to watch Megan until she finds strong enough proof that she’s grooming Will?
Things take an even more sickening turn soon when it’s Will’s birthday. He’s turning 16, which means he’s now over the age of consent and Megan is happy to take full advantage of that. While the rest of the family are getting the back room of the Rovers all set up for a party for Will, he’s at the Chariot Square Hotel with Megan.
‘They’ll be completely blindsided, because it’s the sort of wicked thing that you really don’t expect’, star Pauline McLynn said as she discussed the possibility of Will’s family learning about what Megan has been doing.
‘Also, Megan is a consummate liar and manipulator. Beth, who plays her, describes her as a dangerous narcissist and very, very clever at manipulating people.
‘Because she looks so innocent and young herself, there’s no way anyone is seeing anything glaring, if it’s there at all. When the truth comes out I honestly think it’s going to be life-changing for everyone.’
