Coronation Street’s Jane Danson has received an outpouring of support from fans following a heartfelt marriage milestone announcement alongside her husband.

Jane catapulted to stardom upon joining the ITV soap in 1997, arriving as part of the unforgettable Battersby family alongside sister Toyah, portrayed by Georgia Taylor.

Throughout her tenure, Leanne has been central to numerous explosive storylines, ranging from scandalous affairs and involvement in sex work to devastating infant loss and substance abuse struggles.

Beyond the cobbles, actress Jane is wed to fellow soap actor Robert Beck, who has graced screens in productions including Brookside, Emmerdale and Waterloo Road.

Remarkably, he even made an appearance on Jane’s own programme Coronation Street in 2008, taking on the role of villain Jimmy Dockerson, whilst his Emmerdale appearance saw him portray antagonist Damon ‘Harry’ Harris back in 1999, reports the Mirror.

The couple first crossed paths at the British Soap Awards in 1999 before exchanging vows in 2005, and they share two sons together – Harry, who arrived in July 2006, and Sam, born in February 2009.

Jane recently touched hearts when she posted a touching tribute to Robert marking their 20th wedding anniversary on social media. She uploaded a beautiful snapshot from their wedding day to Instagram, accompanied by the caption: “Happy 20th wedding anniversary my love.”

Fans and fellow cast members quickly flooded the comments with congratulatory messages and warm wishes. Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Battersby, gushed: “Absolute couple goals. Love you both so much.”

Andy Whyment, known for his role as Kirk Sutherland, penned: “Ah Happy 20th wedding Anniversary you lovely couple enjoy your day.” Samia Longchambon also wished the pair: “Happy big Anniversary you two!”

Meanwhile, a fan expressed: “Happy Anniversary to a special and beautiful couple I love and adore you both dearly have a wonderful day.” Another added: “Happy Anniversary you gorgeous pair.”

In a past interview with OK! Magazine, Jane divulged the secret to her long-lasting marriage with Robert, stating: “Me and my husband have been together for 22 years, and we’re really good friends as well as loving each other lots.”

She further shared: “Rob’s absolutely my best friend in the world. We’ve only had about two rows in 20 years. I’m not saying we don’t get on each other’s nerves sometimes, but we’re a strong team and we’ve always allowed each other to be individuals.”
