Taylor Sheridan’s Upcoming Mysterious ‘Yellowstone’ Spin-Off Is Already Working on Season 2
It’s been a while since we heard any updates on The Madison, one of the many upcoming Yellowstone spin-offs from writer Taylor Sheridan.
What Is the “Yellowstone” Spin-Off, “The Madison,” About?
The Madison will follow the McIntosh family as they travel from New York City to the Madison River Valley in Montana after a tragedy. Pfeiffer’s character, Stacy Clyburn, is working through her grief as she tries to rebuild. Fox plays Paul, an ample outdoorman who hates the city.
The cast also includes Danielle Vasinova, Ben Schnetzer, Patrick J. Adams, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, and Elle Chapman.
Schnetzer reportedly plays a rancher, while Chapman and Garrett portray Pfeiffer’s daughters: the privileged Paige McIntosh and the recently divorced Abigail Reese, respectively. Adams stars as Paige’s investment-banker husband. Russell’s role remains a mystery. “The Madison” will be a reunion for Pfeiffer and Russel, who starred together in the 1988 thriller Tequila Sunrise.
While The Madison has been billed as a Yellowstone spinoff, its connection to the original series remains unclear. It is not confirmed whether the show is a direct sequel, a prequel, or simply set in the same universe as Yellowstone. With Sheridan already moving the plot forward, we seem to have more questions than answers.
What About Season Two?

Local reports show that the show was filming around Main Street in Dallas between 6:30 p.m. and 2 a.m.
Signs around the production, which stretched through Ervay Street, made it clear that the area was closed to the public. However, it was clear that the Big D had transformed into New York City. There were NYPD vehicles and taxi props on the set.
Given that Sheridan resides in Texas, it’s not surprising that Dallas is standing in for NYC. His other hit show, Landman, is also based in the Lone Star State.
