EastEnders Jasmine’s mum’s real identity revealed in double bomshell twist

EastEnders fans slammed the soap’s latest family twist as “predictable” after Jasmine Fisher was confirmed as Zoe Slater and Anthony Trueman’s daughter in Monday night’s episode

The identity Jasmine Fisher’s mum has been unveiled In a jaw-dropping EastEnders twist.

Earlier this year, viewers were treated to flashback scenes from 2006, showing Zoe (Michelle Ryan) giving birth to twins. However, she instructed the midwives to put her son up for adoption and left the hospital before discovering the fate of her critically ill daughter.

Zoe initially told Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) that her ex-husband Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman) was the father of her children, hoping Sharon would foot the bill for a private investigator to locate her long-lost son.

Eager for any link to her late husband Dennis, Sharon hired an investigator. But when Zoe’s lie was exposed, the search was abruptly halted.

Unbeknownst to Zoe, Anthony was harbouring a dark obsession with her, evidenced by numerous saved photos on his laptop.

In Monday’s episode (December 15), the GP visited Walford General to meet a contact who had applied for a position at the Panesar House Surgery.

Dr Anthony asked her if he could access hospital records for one of his patients, suggesting it would aid her job application.

The woman presented several documents, which Anthony quickly verified as belonging to Zoe. After working out the timeline using the babies’ birth date, he realised he must be the father.

Another fascinating detail emerged from the paperwork, revealing that Zoe’s baby girl had been resuscitated and subsequently put up for adoption.

Elsewhere in Walford, Jasmine (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) found herself at the police station amid suspicions she was linked to the criminals who went after Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).

Police were puzzled as to why her parents were recorded as ‘unknown’, prompting Jasmine to reveal she’d been adopted and had recently relocated to East London in search of her biological mother, Zoe.
